Catch the thief is an event that runs periodically. The best reward is the hero Winds son boreas who is one of the four winter heros the other three being Christmas Elf, Snow hunter-Khione and Snow iron mask. The event is fairly simple. Gather snowballs/ Coal balls "magic briquettes", by attacking players or doing arena and Tower. They change how you get the balls from time to time but these are the main areas I have noticed. While this event is running you can also acquire 15 balls by doing 60 points worth of daily tasks. Once you have the balls all you need to do is go to the events menu little present. and once there look for the event on the right picture is of a little goblin guy.
You can only acquire 51 Briquettes a day. So that means it will take you at least 12 days to acquire all the 610 briquettes necessary to get Winds. The event typically runs for 18 days.

Current prize is listed bottom middle, on this screen its gold, bottom right is listed how many briquettes I currently have. |
Current event June 2014 all numbers are the same but on lvl 19 you get winds for 75 and lvl 20 you get Billy for 150. For a total of 705.
Maybe I can help
ReplyDeleteI finish the first 5 level with approximately 50 snowballs
I've counted up to level 12 (will add the rest when I have enough "magic briquettes"):
ReplyDeleteLevel 1: 5
Level 2: 10
Level 3: 15
Level 4: 20
Level 5: 40
Level 6: 15
Level 7: 20
Level 8: 25
Level 9: 30
Level 10: 50
Level 11: 15
Level 12: 20
Looks like Levels 11 to 15 are following the same pattern as levels 6 to 10.
This blog has been a great help.
I'd also suggest once you have collected enough "magic briquettes" to acquire Winds son boreas keep collecting (but don't use) for the next time the event comes around.
Hope this helps.
Thanks very much- I am still halfway through level 10 and this will allow me to loosely calculate when I will get Boreas assuming that is the level 20 reward! I can't afford to put any money into the game so gold coins are sparse, plus it is crazy that each briquette is 10gc otherwise I might spare a few. Nice suggestion to save the remaining briquettes instead of wasting them!

ReplyDeleteEmail me Dedommanger@gmail.com I have an offer for you.
DeleteHi could someone help me how to claim the reward. Coz I couldn't find a way to claim it.
ReplyDeleteto claim rewards you just throw the briquettes at the thief "click on him" and once you toss enough briquettes the reward goes into your inventory automatically.
DeleteDoes anyone know exactly how many briquettes the current catch the thief event requires. I believe its more than 610.
ReplyDeleteHeard a rumor of 660 but cannot be certain I have not made it there yet
