Age of Empire- Troop Enhancments

Enhancements are fairly straight forward. You pay either with copper coins or gold coins and you can make your troops better. If you pay with gold coins then your enhancement is instant, to pay with gold you have to use the gold to buy the cast iron from the buy menu. Each cast iron cost 2 gold coins. If you pay with copper coins then you have to wait for eight hours for the enhancement to take effect. The enhancement menu is found in the barracks. There is a maximum of 10 levels for each troop type. I have been trying to write down the costs associated with each level as well as the new numbers for each troop type. Please feel free to contact me with your information!

This is a work in progress please comment if you have additional numbers for me.

  1. You can see the numbers: click in the image troops.
Can you explain how this number alter the battle?

  2. The number is not an exact one to one addition. Your Hero's potential also factors into the battle. As far as I understand it your Hero pretty much has a set maximum damage they can do, so your enhancements work up to a point and are always worth investing in. But will not necessarily, for example lvl 7 Cat. make you due 324 damage per catapult used. Does that help you answer your question? Also the numbers I was referring to is my uncompleted chart.

  3. These numbers will add up to the total attack.
    Ex. 1:

attack with 1 catapult (attack: 19) + level 3 echant will result in a total force of 163 attack

    Ex. 2:

    attack with 100 catapults (attack: 19*100=1900) + level 3 enchant (+attack144)= 2044 attack

Its very useful for low leveles but pretty useless on higher levels if you count the gold that you have spent on it

  4. It says lvl10 grants a special ability. What are they for each unit?

    1. Not really sure it never says explicitly and I have been unable to notice any real difference. The only thing I have noticed is that occasionally my lvl 10 catapults will attack twice. They are on a regular weekly hero.

  5. What are some other ways of getting cast iron?

  6. Cast Iron can be obtained through the daily groupon buy. Also through many events as a reward.
